Your IP (Internet Protocol) address is a unique identifier assigned to your device by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). It allows websites, services, and other devices to communicate with you across the internet. Think of it as your device's mailing address in the digital world.
There are two versions of IP addresses in use today. IPv4 addresses look like 192.168.1.1 — four groups of numbers separated by dots. IPv6 addresses are longer, like 2001:0db8:85a3::8a2e:0370:7334, and were created because the world is running out of IPv4 addresses. CuteIP shows your IPv4 and IPv6 addresses when they are available on your connection.
Your IP address reveals your approximate geographic location (city-level, not your exact address), your ISP, and your timezone. It does not reveal your name, home address, or personal details. However, it's good practice to use a VPN if you want extra privacy online.
We built CuteIP because every other IP lookup site feels like it was designed in 2005. We wanted something beautiful, fast, and fun — with a little pixel dog friend to brighten your day. CuteIP is 100% client-side, loads instantly, and respects your privacy. No data is stored on our servers.
